About Michelle and Inner Peace
About Michelle Ringin- Inner Peace Holistic Herbal Therapy
Michelle Ringin
Clinical Western Medicinal Herbalist & Weight Management
Practitioner, Lithgow NSW
Michelle Ringin is a qualified Clinical
Western Medicinal Herbalist, Weight Management Practitioner, and Animal Health Professional based in Lithgow, NSW, with over 14 years of clinical experience helping people - and the animals they love - find their way back to genuine, lasting wellbeing through the healing intelligence of plants.
You Deserve to Feel Heard - and to Actually Heal
If you’ve been carrying health challenges that won’t resolve- gut issues that flare without warning, hormones that feel completely out of balance, energy that’s been missing for months, or infections that just keep returning- you’ve probably already discovered that generic advice doesn’t work for a body as individual as yours.
You may have seen multiple practitioners and still left without real answers. You may have been told your results are “within normal range” when nothing about how you feel is normal. You may be quietly exhausted from trying to figure it all out alone.
Michelle works with women- and the families and pets who depend on them- who are ready to stop managing symptoms and start understanding what’s actually driving them. Her clients come to her feeling frustrated, dismissed, or simply worn out. They leave feeling genuinely supported, clearly informed, and equipped with a plan that was built entirely around them.
“This is slow, intentional, heart-led medicine. And it works.”
The Inner Peace Approach - Handcrafted, Root-Cause Herbal Healing
Michelle’s practice is built on a simple but powerful belief: your body doesn’t heal in isolated parts, and neither should your care.
What makes Inner Peace Holistic Herbal Therapy different isn’t just the quality of the formulas- it’s the philosophy behind every single one of them. Michelle doesn’t reach for pre-made supplements or off-the-shelf remedies. She grows many of the herbs she uses in her own garden, harvests them at peak potency, and hand-crafts every tincture, tea, medicinal oil, and cream specifically for your body, your history, and your goals. Nothing is generic. Nothing is templated. This is truly personalised medicine.
Her approach weaves traditional herbal wisdom together with modern Western medicinal herbalism to investigate root causes rather than suppress surface symptoms. Because the patterns in your body are interconnected: disrupted sleep affects your weight; gut inflammation shapes your mood; chronic stress quietly drives your hormonal imbalances. Michelle maps these patterns as a whole system and addresses them together- so that what you experience is lasting change, not temporary relief.
She walks beside you throughout the process, sharing knowledge and tools so that you understand your own body more deeply with every step. This is medicine that works with you, not just on you.
“Healing, Naturally.
Together.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Real questions from real clients - answered honestly.
What is a Western Herbalist and how is it different from a naturopath?
Western Herbalist is a practitioner who specialises specifically in the use of medicinal plants to support health and wellbeing. While naturopaths take a broad multi-modality approach that may include nutrition, homeopathy, and lifestyle medicine, a Western Herbalist’s training is focused deeply on plant medicine - its pharmacology, preparation, and clinical application. Michelle holds an Advanced Diploma in Western Medicinal Herbalism, and plant medicine is not one tool among many in her practice- it is the whole craft.
What conditions does Michelle Ringin treat?
Michelle has clinical experience across a wide range of health concerns, with particular expertise in gut health, hormonal imbalances, perimenopause and menopause, recurring infections, fatigue and burnout, weight management, sleep disorders, anxiety, skin conditions, and oncology support. She also provides herbal care for pets and animals, including anxiety, joint health, digestive issues, and immune support. If you’re unsure whether your condition falls within her scope of practice, reach out - she’s happy to have an honest conversation about how she may be able to help.
How is seeing a herbalist different from seeing my GP?
Your GP plays a vital and important role in your healthcare, and Michelle works alongside - never instead of - your medical team. Where a GP appointment is often focused on diagnosis and symptom management within a limited timeframe, a herbal consultation with Michelle typically runs much longer and explores the full picture: your history, your lifestyle, your patterns, and the underlying drivers of what you’re experiencing. The goal is not to replace conventional care, but to complement it with personalised, root-cause herbal support.
Do I need a referral to see Michelle?
No referral is needed. You can book directly through the website. If you’d like to get a sense of whether Michelle is the right fit before committing to a full consultation, you’re welcome to get in touch first.
What happens in a first consultation?
Your first consultation is a conversation, not a checklist. Michelle will take the time to understand your full health history, your current symptoms, your lifestyle, and what you’re hoping to achieve. From there, she’ll begin building a personalised herbal plan- which may include a custom tincture, tea blend, medicinal oil, or cream crafted specifically for you. You’ll leave with clarity, a plan, and the knowledge to understand what’s happening in your body and why.
Are your herbal formulas pre-made or custom blended?
Every formula Michelle creates is custom blended specifically for you. She does not use pre-made or off-the-shelf remedies. Many of the herbs she works with are grown in her own garden, harvested at peak potency, and hand-crafted into tinctures, teas, oils, and creams by Michelle herself. This is genuinely personalised medicine - your formula is yours alone.
Are herbal medicines safe? Can they interact with medications I’m already taking?
Herbal medicines are natural, but that doesn’t mean they are without effect- and that’s precisely the point. Used correctly by a qualified practitioner, they are safe and effective. Michelle’s training includes understanding herb-drug interactions, and she will always ask about any medications or supplements you are currently taking. Please be open and thorough in sharing this information- it allows her to formulate safely and effectively for your whole picture. If there are any contraindications, she will discuss them with you honestly.
How long does it take to see results?
This depends on how long a condition has been present, your overall health picture, and how consistently the plan is followed. Acute issues may respond within days. Chronic conditions that have developed over months or years typically require a longer course of support- often three to six months of consistent herbal care to see lasting change. Michelle will give you a realistic, honest timeframe during your consultation, and she checks in regularly to assess progress and adjust your plan as needed. Slow medicine gets lasting results.
Do you offer telehealth consultations?
Yes. Michelle offers telehealth consultations to clients throughout Australia, providing the same quality of personalised herbal care online as she does in person in Lithgow. Custom herbal formulas can be posted directly to you. Whether you’re in a major city or a remote region, distance is not a barrier to receiving proper herbal support.
Where is Inner Peace Holistic Herbal Therapy located?
Michelle’s clinic is based in Lithgow, NSW, and welcomes clients in person from Lithgow and the surrounding regions including Bathurst, the Blue Mountains, Orange, and Mudgee. Telehealth is available to clients anywhere in Australia.
Do you provide herbal care for animals?
Yes - and this is one of Michelle’s genuine areas of passion and expertise. She is a credentialled Animal Health Professional with CIVT (College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies), holds qualifications in Animal Herbology and Natural Animal Nutrition, and has worked professionally with McDowell’s Herbal and Canine Ceuticals. She provides personalised herbal support for pets including anxiety, joint pain, digestive health, immune conditions, and general wellness. Herbal care for animals is always tailored to the individual animal and prepared with the same care and intention as her human formulas.
Can I see Michelle while also seeing my specialist or receiving conventional medical treatment?
Absolutely, and Michelle actively encourages this. Integrative care - where herbal medicine and conventional medicine work side by side - often produces the best outcomes for clients. Michelle is experienced in supporting clients through cancer treatment, managing complex multi-system conditions, and working alongside GP care. She will always communicate transparently and ensure her approach complements, not conflicts with, your existing treatment.
